Disney MP3 Player Hi-Tech Toddlers

disney mp3 Disney MP3 Player Hi Tech Toddlers

Disney is targeting kids with is new Digital Mix Stix. The Mix Sticks will be able to play MP3 and WMA files and will come with 128MB of built in memory along with an SD expansion slot that will allow your toddler to add an additional 1GB of memory. The recargable battery will play for about 8 hours and can be charged by USB. Disney is also selling other accesories to go along with the Mix Sticks such as docking stations, carrying cases and Mix Clips, which i am assuming are SD cards preloaded with Disney tunes. Start your techie kid early, you can buy them in about a month.

Update: We did a mini review on this player. Check it out here.

Toddler? As an avid Disney-phile and lover of all things pink, this 39 year old can’t wait to get one of these. :-)

I wouldn’t think it would be for toddlers. It still requires the user to perform basic functions including hooking it up to your computer to download songs. My daughter is 8 and I think she’d love it as her first MP3 player. It’s a nice option to be able to put your own songs on it or use the pre-loaded Mix Stix Disney sells for them.

Where can I purchase a Disney mp3 player? Will they be available for Christmas?

Saw this at target, it is a great idea because an adult can load an sd card for the kids with appropriate music. No need to actually plug the player in to the pc if you do not want tpo. This is how it is expandable to 1g. My 5 year old currently can make her own playlists and download them to my iPod so never underestimate a tech savvy kid.The mix cards they sell are Disney tunes, like themes and radio Disney songs. The player retails for $50 and pre loaded cards for $15.

My 3 (just turned 4, oops) year old daughter just LOVES this. Her big sister got a Zen MP3 Player for her Birthday, and we had a 7 hour road trip ahead of us – so I wanted something for my little one too. She feels so grown up with this, she can easily manage it on her own. It’s so fun to see her sitting there be-boppin to her own music – and singing along to the Disney Channel theme songs. We are very happy with it.

I have a 9 year old daughter and am debating between the Disney Mix Stix and a regular MP3 player. I am afraid she will grow out of the Mix Stix.
