iRiver Clix the Updated and Integrated U10

iRiver’s new 2GB Clix is now selling on the official iRiver website for $200. With the same form factor and possibly the insides as the U10, the player has a completely revamped OS to work tightly integrated with Windows Media Player 11 and MTV URGE music services.

Official Specs: FM tuner, voice recording, games, photo viewing, 25 hours battery life, 2.2 inch 320 x 240 260,000 color screen, support for, MP3, MPEG4, WMA, ASF, and OGG.

I have the U10 and it is a very nice player, but the pricing was way off from equivalent competitors. Now the Clix comes in right inline with flash based competitors like the Z5, Nano, and e200. At more competitive pricing, I would not be surprised if iRiver started to grab more of the market share, especially if they turned out higher 4GB & 6GB versions.

Nice, if I had 200 bucks I would definitely get one. Either that or the Sansa e200s but this one’s more elegant, and doesn’t have any moving parts. Nice job, iRiver.
