4GB Cowon iAudio Flash DAPs

It looks like November won’t just be about turkey and cranberry sauce this year. Crave, CNET’s gadget blog, just received word that Cowon America plans to release 4GB versions of their iAudio F2, U3, and T2 digital audio players sometime next month for an undisclosed price.

Sure, it’s not up to speed with Apple, SanDisk, and Creative’s 8GB flash DAPs, but it’s a whole lot better than the 2GB capacities that used to max out the iAudio line. And that’s something to be thankful for.

“Sure, it’s not up to speed with Apple, SanDisk, and Creative’s 8GB flash DAPs, but it’s a whole lot better than the 2GB capacities that used to max out the iAudio line”You can say that again!!! Too bad Cowon didn’t announce an i6 with 4gb flash. That would have been some real competition

Prices…?I may get the U3 in 4 gigs if the price is fit.

and still no replacement for the iAudio X5 – which is what many people are crying out loud for. the array of small devices is now confusing. and the X5 is aging (and i won’ buy one due to its dodgy joystick)someone from cowon confirmed to me via email that no replacement will be announced before CES 2007. a long time to wait then …

Better late than never.. nice to see the cap bump. Cowon makes such great players, wish we would see them in better distribution here in the US. CES should bring us some interesting goodies…
