Cowon iAudio X5 Unboxing Video

x5-unboxing.jpg

Cowon’s iAudio X5 is nearly two-and-a-half years old but is still highly regarded by audio purists as a no-nonsense music player with sound quality that will make the audiophile with non-stock earbuds smile. Even though the design is something reminiscent of the early 90s’ gadget scene and the interface is anything but refined, the player still has a fairly large underground following as seen in iAudio fansite iAudiophile.net.

In the next week or so, we will have a full on ABi-style review. In the meantime, take a look at the unboxing video below for a retro preview of the iAudio X5. Update: Read the full iAudio X5 review.

Wow the most boring video ever :D I do like iaudio tho. The D2 4Gb is on my wishlist.

Good times… can hardly remember the time I unboxed my X5… nearly two years ago.

I am looking forward to this review. I like compairing older reviews of products to new ones to see how far they have come in firmeware.

My X5 has been replaced by newer, safer flash players, like the Meizu Miniplayer (Music) and the Sandisk Sansa (Has been demoted to simply storing all my recorded Lectures, and learn-a-language files…)… Still I have my 20gb library of travel music in my car at all times. Will never need another Hard drive player… Unless I crash up my car, and the player gets damaged, but, I think I would die in that process too, as my car isn’t exactly safe :)

I find flash players limiting. I would rather have a 160GB X5. Too bad that Cowon distributes mostly through the internet.

Dunno why, but I like the video. I think it’s relaxing, with only the sound of the box and bags. And it reminds me of unboxing my M3L.
