Jewel Strip Adorns KVA P30 PMP

KVA-P30.jpg

Here’s something to plug those sparkling ear drops into: the P30 portable media player by Chinese company KVA. The product page is short on details, but after stitching together scraps of info scattered around the Web, we think we’ve got something of a complete picture. And it looks pretty nice (even if, as we suspect, those “diamonds” are of the plastic or glass variety).

The 2.4-inch QVGA (320 x 240) display is ideal for watching WMV and AVI videos (30 fps), viewing photos, or checking out track information while listening to Ogg, AAC, WAV, and MP3 files that have been transferred over a USB 2.0 connection. The non-removable battery is rated at 25 hours of audio playback, though if the P30 really maxes out at 1GB, stellar battery life like that isn’t worth much.

There’s something about “online games download support” and mention of the iPod here, but we don’t know what to make of it. And at this point, pricing and availability are scoring a bit higher on the list of essential stuff we still don’t know.

1 Gig really isn’t very much. Does it perhaps support SD Cards (e.g. 4 Gigs mini SD) and internal memory is only 1 Gig?
