I’ve got a ViBE SA2VBE04 (it doesn;t even look like your pics). I went to put songs and add them to a playlist, but when I tried to free a playlist of songs, it told me that those songs weren’t in the playlist at all. I tried to repair it using Philips Songbird, but after that, whenever I turn it on, it’s stuck on the “Philips” screen. I have hit ‘RESET’ to turn it off. What should I do?

i have this player since 4 days, and i hate it!!!Even if i have set the limit contro to the top, the volume is low!!! Is there a solution for this problem? How may i unlock this limit???thankyou

@Andreas Ødegårdsir andre,in my part of the world, only prostitution and illegal drugs are cheap. having said that the koss ktxpro1 use the same drivers that the highly recommended koss porta pro use.secondly when i talk about the philips having a much battery than the sansa clip, i am talking about the QUALITY of the battery. i own 3 sansa clip + and i can attest to the cheapness of their li-ion battery.sincerely,your reader from a 3rd world country.rp

@rubin pham: First, the battery life of the vibe isn’t even twice that of the Sansa Clip+, let alone 10x. Second, for the rpice I suggest the Sansa Fuze or Sony E340 instead, the first has the same battery life and the second has better battery life. Third, with $15 headphones you have no chance of detecting any difference in sound quality between anything on the market.

i also own a vibe and i am quite happy with it.here is the strength of the philips vibe that the author fail to mention:the battery in this device is 10x better than the battery in the sansa clip +.i use this unit with the koss ktxpro1 headphone and the sound are on par with the sansa clip +.

@Vast Aire: What Andreas is trying to say is that this player is just overall inferior to its competition, not that it’s a bad piece of hardward. Using your example, this player would be like a used car that doesn’t have radio or air conditioning, and yet costs barely less than a brand new car with lots of features and better functionality as a whole. While this thing does work as a music player, it doesn’t really do much else and in the current world of Mp3 players, a player that costs $60 just to play music is not a competitive product. “True” music lovers would be better satisfied with a Sansa, Sony, or Creative player than this.@Will Entrekin: Looks are very subjective. I think this thing looks ugly and cheap, while the Clip has a very nice dsign. You would get better bang for your buck, especially if you’re not interested in photos and videos, to go with something else. The Clip+ has expandable memory, better sound quality, better voice recording, the clip itself (which is more useful than you might think) and is cheaper. The Fuze is pretty much the Clip+ but with a color screen that is better than the Vibe. The Sony E340 has the best screen of the aforementioned, but doesn’t have a MicroSD card slot. Anyway, no matter how you look at it you can find better options.

i’m having problems, everytime i turn it on it says “file system in error” my friend borrowed it. so i have no clue how to work it?? i need to know whats wrong with it please??

I’m sorry, I’m not a materialistic person nor do I have the urge to tinker with 10-15 mp3 players. I’m the type of person that would be content and happy driving something that effectively accomplishes the point of a car like a Honda Civic than gloss over a Camaro. This may not be the most trendy or high tech gadget in the mp3 market today,but it gets the job done. I wrote the review for the previous poster who just cared about the sound of the ViBe not about any extracurricular functions of an mp3, to give him a better insight than this terribly written review. The only valid point you have made is that their are better mp3 players for around the same price range, however their is not much wrong with this player. I recommend if you can getting a better player for the same price, however if your interested in the ViBe it is a good buy for TRUE music lovers, not gadget junkies.

@ Vast Aire: With only one player and a broken iPod, how can you know if the player is good? To say that anything is good, you need to have a basis for comparison, which you don’t. I review MP3 players comparatively; against one another. The logic you use to say the Vibe is good is the same as a person from the 1700′s who see a T-ford and think it’s good because it’s a car and a car is useful. However, that doesn’t mean that anyone would buy a T-ford as their car in 2010, simply because compared to what’s on the market its a 100 year old car that doesn’t meet any of today’s standards. The same goes for the Vibe; if you look at it from a year 2000 point of view, it’s an amazing device. However, compared to the players on the market today, that even cost the same, it’s not even close to being competitive. Go play with 10-15 other players and then come tell me you still think the Vibe is good.
