Cowon D3 Gets Android 2.3 Update

cowond3gingerbread1 Cowon D3 Gets Android 2.3 UpdateAfter a long time being held back by Android 2.1, the D3 recently got an upgrade to version 2.3, usually referred to as Gingerbread by the cool kids.

It should make the device faster, more responsive, and improve system stability. Of course Cowon also packed in some new functionality (sleep timer, plug-in codec support, search widget, VoIP) and fixed some bugs under the hood.

Proud D3 owners, head on over to Cowon Global to download the update and give your player a serious boost in usability.

Thanks to Copperface for the tip.

Should i buy the D3 over J3 ??? i am so confused!! plz help me!

Apples and oranges… the J3 is a dedicated audio/video player, the D3 is an Android internet device. Whatever is more important to you – especially considering the price difference between the two.

Should you buy this? Only if you are in the market for a player with quality music output and are willing to forgive a large number of bugs.

What type of bugs? Like the microphone being enable when you turn on the radio, so you hear both the radio and everything around you (with a small delay). The mic is sensitive and load, so while I am typing this listening to the tour, I hear my silent keyboard over my headphones.

It is an intresting device and for me the quality of the sound is worth the bugs but if your mobile phone or older player is working good enough, then keep it. To many typical Cowon bugs to recommend this to anyone but a fellow audio snob.

So the D3 has worse sound quality and audio features than J3?
