If you have used any digital audio player with a touch sensitive user interface the touch components were probably made by Synaptics, including MP3 players like the Olympus MR-100, Zen Touch, MPIO HD300, and iPod.

Synaptics has put together a custom solution for the new Packard Bell Vibe 500 called the LightTouch creating a pretty slick looking interface. The player is a 20GB or 30GB device with a 1.8” LCD screen that supports photo viewing and limited video playback in MOV and AVI formats. As for audio, again limited support only providing MP3 and WMA/WMA DRM formats. On the upside, it has line and mic recording as well as USB host support. Back to the downside… the US will probably never see this player, its strictly for Europeans.
