Hold Button
 

I have an iRiver S10, and it always turns ON in my pocket. I know that pressing both volume buttons simultaneously acts as a hold button when the player is already on. But if the player is off, it does not prevent it from turning on.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to prevent this?

Any help or commiseration is appreciated.

As far as I know: there is no way to engage hold while off. This is why I like physical hold switches...
