Cowon O2 successor coming?
 

Holiday is coming, every major brand is releasing new PMP. The cowon O2 was released last October. So is there a new O2 successor waiting in the line to be released soon? I expected it coming soon, and what
features are you looking? Hopefully, it will fix all the bad things that the current O2 had.

Havent heard anything. They really do need to blend the A3 and O2 though. A touchscreen that will record from tv. A completely new UI would be nice. Base it off the s9, and maybe get a uniformed UI across the board. Gapless, etc, etc.

There isnt too much, but blending the two, and a better UI would be vital for Cowon.

I agree, but the O2 and the A3 are clearly more video centric players. Wouldnt mind anything from the S9 though. Especially a more usable UI

I think MP3 players are going out of fashion. I don't think we'll be seeing a lot of innovation from now on. Phones and other multi-purpose devices are getting the attention now.

It was a nice ride. Too bad it's nearly over.

The iPod touch is where the PMP market is going... it's a smartphone without the phone. In fact it's the first iPod I've considered buying... but nope still can't do it. :)

I wish Cowon or others would release some worthwhile competitors to the iTouch. The Zune HD is OK but it doesn't quite do it for me either. I want wifi, bluetooth, a decent web browser, and an SD card slot.

I still use my O2 but it's a little long in the tooth, and missing features I want.

I kind of agree with you. The Ipod Touch is pretty tempting. I've considered buying one but what holds me back is that I have a lot of files that just won't play on it. I watch a lot of movies and TV shows and lectures and they're all avi files. It'll handle my audio just fine but I have plenty of good players for that.
