New A-Series Walkman - A840
|
This certainly looks amazing! This could have been the ultimate MP3-player if it wasn't for the lack of flac and drag n drop. Assuming it doesn't support standard usb-cable or filetree-browsing?
Anyone? |
Nice - I see it comes with EX300s.

Christmas is coming too... I'm going to forget the Clip+, the Mintpad or anything by Samsung - I always wanted a 64GB player, I'll skip 32GB like I skipped 8GB. This player is MINE.

I haven't paid that much of attention to other Sony-players, but what is the case with filetree-browsing? And will it eventually support .flac? |

The Darkside:
Thanks for info mate :) You see, I'm running an iRiver H340 with rockbox, browsing by folders, and playing .flac with my growing collection (I've started ripping all my CDs to the computers with EAC - what a tedious job). While this also supports standard miniusb, it is quite hard finding a player that suits my needs. basically a smaller H340 with better battery life and bigger storage (in flash). Which is pretty much the same as a Clip+ with bigger screen, bigger storage =) We will see what the future will bring. |

features and looks are top-notch but 3 things comes to mind:
1. does the FM radio has RDS..i.e. displays the station's name? and does it have auto scan and auto save function? 2. does it have bluetooth? 3. can you add songs to a playlist and delete songs on-the-fly and not needing a 3rd-party software? i feel these are features that must be standard in all Walkmans in order to be a step forward from the other players. |
