[ Game ] Crystal Connect - Version 1.1.2
 

Crystal connect is a match-three game, in which you swap gems to make lines of 3 or more of the same kind to earn points. I imagine most people will be familiar with the game that inspired it; Bejeweled. The game features classic infinite gameplay at this stage. I.e, it goes on forever until there are no more moves.

There is a readme in the folder that details the game if you can't figure it out for yourself.

When compressing the .zip it seems you've managed to include a main.lua outside of the game folder in addition to the one in the folder. May want to fix that.

It appears you have downloaded the wrong version, just before I updated it. Try downloading it again, it works just fine now.

Quality app. Would a time limit on a game or a time limit per move be a good idea? That would make it a bit more difficult rather than just be pretty much luck of the draw when there are no moves left.

Definately one of the best apps that have been made so far.

I had considered including a timer, but decided against it and to attempt to code the essence of a match-three game. Thus the lack of extra features or "special" jewels.

No, no timer and if you do it would be useful to those options that you can turn on and off.

I wont be making any more additions to this app. If someone finds a bug, then I'll fix it, but I otherwise consider this app complete.

Well, that's a little off topic, but no, not yet. I've had a few ideas but nothing has struck me as inspiring or motivating to code just yet. I plan on doing more drawing as I haven't done any while working on this app and my mind is full of visual designs.
