Here is the new Samsung YP-U6.

Almost the same specs as the U5: OLED display, same interface, FM tuner, voice recording, fitness feature, tactile buttons.
What's new? Metal finish, retractable USB key (like on the U3 and U4), SoundAlive audio effects.
Battery life should be about 20hrs.

seriously pink and black? i take it in modern gender studies times the black one is for the girls and the pink is reserved for the more manly side of the evolution.

any word on the capacity ( though i'd reckon it won't exceed 4 gb, or maybe 8gb), yet?

a friend of mine had a sammy stick that was 8gb, try scrolling thru 8gb worth of tunes at q2(vorbis) on that little screen....

I have a u3, great little players IMHO, to bad these dont got a card slot, could be a whole new game if they did.

The classic no-brainer player from Samsung. Elegant and right to the point. MSC only I suppose.

1st demo:

they made the display a bit bigger then my u3 so they could add a little dancing Onigiri....

I can testify to the fact that the u3 sounds quite good, and its quite easy to use, if somebody would make a player like it with a card slot and like 8gb internal I think they would really have a winnar (intentionally misspelled for lulz)

Looks OK for an inexpensive workout player,...not too bad IMO.

Heh, they're gone almost full-circle, back to the venerable YP-U1 (which IMO sucked the least of the "U" series).

Have you tried the U2, U3, U4 and U5? :)

I used the U1 for years, for jogging - before the Sansa Clip came along. Also tried the U2 and U3, not the U4 - and I guess the U6 on is the same as the U5, more or less.

Man, give me this in a decent capacity and I'd have a new workout buddy - just not pink please, it clashes w/my camo clothing.
