The service life of the lithium-ion battery

What is the service life of the lithium-ion battery for Sansa E200?
In years and charging cycles.

Battery replacement?

I have Sansa E200 (Model View, BI0711AFRF-8G ), but I do not see any screws to disassemble the device and replace the battery. How shall I disassemble it?

Are you sure that's a e200? Check the firmware. The model number doesn't match anything I see in a quick search and the word "View" make me suspect that's what you have.

Different player altogether. The battery isn't considered user replaceable.

Thanks for the prompt reply. The version is 01.03.02A. The words "Model: View" are written at the back of the player. So you think it's not user replaceable?

It's a Sansa View, NOT a Sansa e200. It's a totally different player and never had a user replaceable battery.

It's not user replaceable in that it's soldered in. With the e200 you just pop one out and put another in. Strictly from memory, I remember one person that documented opening and soldering a new battery into a View. Took them awhile to find a compatible battery and find a way to replace it without destroying the player. The thread is somewhere here on this site.

What do you think I should put to search window-Sansa View compatible battery?
No, this one did not work out. Do you remember any details about the posting?
Thanks, I got the thread.

If you use Ebay, you can find replacement Sansa View batteries. Here a search I did (and I hope it displays properly...):http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=san...&_stpos=&gbr=1

After you have bought a battery you can follow the instructions here:
http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/sho...2&postcount=14

But you need to have a steady hand and be careful so that you do not break anything.

If you are careful, it is possible to replace the battery in a Sansa View without needing to solder.
