I picked the Samsung Focus, only because the Optimus isn't available here in the US. But... it is on Optus in Australia... ;)

Can't vote because 1) I'm currently locked 5 months into a 2-year contract, and 2) My carrier is CDMA, and there is no WP7 phone out yet for that. But I'll continue to follow the goings-on of WP7, and perhaps upgrade to that when the time comes. :D

Love my zuneHD, but i feel the android market and my droid 2 are the way to go.

Similar position here. For me, my phone has to be more than a phone, it has to be an independent mobile computer. I shouldn't have to tether it to another computer in order to update it or to keep it in sync with any changes that I need to make. For that reason, Android > WP7/iOS...for now. While Apple will never change this functionality, MS has hinted that they will eventually make the change as they get more involved with the cloud.

If/when that time comes, Windows Phone will be strongly considered. Unlike iOS, I see Windows Phone as a true smart phone platform. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

No wonder we aren't ramping up quickly in the posting levels in this forum section.....few readers even have the handsets! You are all hereby consigned to having no valid opinion in this sub-forum unless you have a WP7 handset ! :P LOL

I actually though about that, but look at the final option you left in the poll. Besides, I posted about Android for about 8-9 months here before I finally took the dive. The OS is interesting, but there just has to be a killer handset to give someone that final push.

3 days in.......>80% of respondents do not have a WP7 device at this stage - with only about 1/3 of these people looking to get one.

C'mon WP7 owners - I know there must be more of you out there reading these forums....Vote now ! :)

How easily we forget. Dig up the polls from July where almost no one here had an Android handset. Now, about half the smart phone owners here, or more, have them. Like I said, a "new" OS (technically, WP7 is new) starts slow, but it will hit its stride.

Yeah. Well I skipped Android - straight from Samsung Blackjack to Samsung Focus!
Loving everything about the Focus and WP7 - except for the bum deal non-US WP7 customers get. That's a real bummer.

WP7 is not on my carrier (Verizon), so I guess I can't be sold on it. lol So that is how I voted.

And, since I just upgraded my phone last night, I won't even be looking at WP7 for about 20 months.

Ouch....Monday they may be announcing/launching Verizon WP7 !!! You got a cooling off period on that contract ? ;)

Verizon gives you 30 days to exchange for another phone, w/no restocking fee.
