I live in Latvia, and purchased my P3 on this site http://www.pixmania.lv/lv/uk/home.html
A year has passed, and today, by other persons fault, the USB cable was deformed, and the USB jack in the player was pushed in/deformed:mad:, so I am not able to charge/plug it in the PC. I suppose I can not send it to the repair by guarantee, and it has also run out. Now I can't decide whether to buy a new P3, or send it to the Samsung (honestly, I don't know where i have to send it, because I'm pretty sure they don't repair them here, in Latvia). And how much could the repair cost?

The P3 is being replaced by the Galaxy S. You should go to the samsung site and look up a support number there and try to get someone to help you. They can tell you where to ship it and all. I doubt it will be cheap, I would just replace the unit. Maybe look to see if they will offer you any trade in value.

Well, sent an e-mail to my local Samsung support center, waiting for an answer now.

UP: Three days passed, haven't received an answer yet. Seems like I will have to visit local Samsung support centre, or smth like that.
Sadly, there are no available P3 8GB units, only 16GB, and for about 200$, and I can't afford it. Bought mine 8GB for about 130$, but now I can't find any on the net.

I found unresponsive touch panel on my P3 several days ago, I'm now thinking of a replacement DAP :(

gunkaholic, is it still under warranty? Call samsung if it is.

I have less than 100mb left on my P3, thinking of a cowon J3 since Samsung does not have a direct replacement for the P3. Well one available to me anyway.

So, I visited the support centre, and gave them my P3. After a day, received a call, and there are 3 possibilities: they can't repair my player, and I have to pay 10$ for their hard work :D, they change the socket for 70$ and wire for 6$, or they have to replace all hardware of the player, which would cost me 180$. I am ready to pay 70$, but if not, I'l go with Sansa Clip+ :D

Ha ha ha! $180! Was the P3 ever worth that much? That's just silly. $70 is not bad unless you can find a used one on ebay for less, but then you might end up having issues with it. Glad you found an answer, good luck with your choice.
I've kept mine in a case and it still looks great. I'm thinking of selling it and getting a J3. I'm not a fan of the new and expensive galaxy player.

Hehe, my baby has returned to me :) and only for 60 $.
One more happy P3 owner :D
