what does the text file with video do?
 

not a problem just a question, but can anyone tell me why the SMC creates a text file with each video file you convert? i've tried to read it but it wont open, but if i erase it the video wont play. just curious thanks.

IDK about text files, but I would steer clear of SMC, as it creates extremely large files, has synchronization issues with audio and video, and is very unreliable. Handbrake might be a good alternative. That is unless you're using a Fuze (as opposed to the Fuze Plus, which this section of the forum is meant to be about), and put this into the wrong place on accident.
