This app is a remake of an older version of Paint. It have a save/load function.

2: tap some colour in the palette to chose background colour
3: chose another colour for the foreground
4: start drawing.... you can do a path-fill by closing the path (a green rectangle at the beginning).
5: to chose another colour click screen to get the cbuttons back.
6: optionally click hbutton to erase everything and start over at 2:
7: to save hold hbutton for about a second or two to save, then you can see what you have drawn under the cbuttons
8: when you are satisfied with the picture do a last save and click hbutton two times to exit the app.
9: start the app again and you get into the picture browser where you tap screen to browns through your pictures, it's just one picture yet so click hbutton to exit the browser and do one more.
--------------WARNING BEGIN (for a frequent user)----------
The app doesen't hide the pictures from the players OS so after a OS-rebuild (manually or by connect/disconnect from PC) all the bmp pictures in the Paintings Folder gets stored in the "OS picture database". it can be viewed/deleted in Photos/Applications/art-it.
So move/convert the bmp pictures in the Paintings Folder from times to times so the "OS picture database" don't collapse.
If you move/convert the files also remove the count.txt or edit it to 0 to start over from PAINT_1.BMP
look in the readme.txt for info on the path-fill, palette/colour-choser and load.
The colour choser is from user Tetrajak "[ Tool ] RGB Slider Colour Select Library v1.0 + demo"
my code is free to use in anyway you like
this app is ok, but you don't have to zip the screenshots!
Thanks, now I have changed that.
Haven't tried this yet, but I took a look at the code and I can just say I had no idea how this stuff really worked with the bit-wise handling, shows how much I really suck at LUA =P I'd very much like some more explaining comments in the code so that me and other developers could learn from it much easier, I know I would have lots to learn from this.
Keep up the good work!
You don't have to dig into that code I think, I haven't.
I have just googled two or more combination's of: lua, bit-wise, 'shift, and, or...', line-draw, algorithm and code.
You come to very well-documented pages and often code examples (most not in lua) and wiki has good page of windows bitmap image.
My written code is not so much lua-like, it's more of c, pascal or assembler. It's a workaround for the low memory size in the players lua-interpreter. The bit-wise handling is an old way of speed up math on an old computer without a math coprocessor. Don't use it if you don't need it, because today processors do math "on-chip" and are much faster.
new version art-it0.91
A new version art-it0.91
The new things are:
a path-filling tool, pallete/colour-choser and a load of bmp files.
Replaced the zip as the Paintings folder in it was lost. Now the app should work (I think ?).
I do a post for those who have download it but didn't complain, give it another try. And as a tip for those who upload apps, do a last check and download your own app to see that everything is working.
a stylus works good for these paint apps!
