How do I install Rockbox on my sansa fuze v2?
 

So I am having alot of trouble installing my fuze with rockbox and I thought that you guys can help me, I cannot for the life of me find a installing guide on how to do it for V2 but I have found them for tthe V1, so if anyone can give me a guide or walk me through it I would appreciate it. A video guide would be awesome too!

2.2.3. Bootloader installation from Windows
1. Create a folder called “rbinstall” on your desktop, and then extract the OF, the
bootloader and mkamsboot into it.
2. Open a new command prompt, and navigate to the “rbinstall” folder.
3. Run mkamsboot.exe, passing the name of the OF and bootloader files that you
downloaded, in addition to a name for the output file.

If mkamsboot.exe does not report success, then retry or abort.
4. Copy the output file (“patched.bin” in the example given above) to the root of
the device and rename it to the same name as the OF file you downloaded earlier
(“fuzpa.bin” above).
5. Safely eject the device, unplug USB and wait for the firmware update to finish


no idea how to navigate through command prompt. thats really where i need help.

Any reason you're using the manual rather then automatic install instructions? As that link notes, they're much more complicated then using the graphical installer.

alright awesome, do i need to install a bootloader though? and if so whats the bin? sorry I messed up and thought that automatic was manual.

You need to follow the instructions.

Yes, you need the bootloader. Try installing it with RButility first. If that doesn't work, bone up on your command line skills before trying to do it manually.
