S616F Memory Issues
HI, I just purchased a used S616F on ebay and everything seems to work great , the only problem is the player is empty, but there is only about 900 megabytes left to use out of the 4g space. I can't figure out what taking the space. Any ideas? I was wondering if I should reformat it? If I do this , will the player still work?

I would bet that the last owner used software to transfer music over to it, and had the player set to MSC, which likes to hide files. Even if you go through the folders on the player through your computer, they won't show up.

The music is still there, you just can't get to it without going through a program like Content Transfer or Songbird.

Go into the options menu, and choose Factory Reset. That should reset everything and remove any music still on it. Then find the USB settings on the player and change it (assuming the S616 has the option to change USB settings).

That should remove all music and any changes the last owner made before you got it. The player will still work perfectly fine, you will just need to add you own music afterward (which is as simple as just dragging and dropping the files onto it).
