Best android music player app that improves sound the most

My music is already in my galaxy 5.0 but i find playback through upgraded phones is lacking in some areas.Looking for best android music player that adds some shaping to sound, bass pump and just overall fullness.I downloaded the free android equalizer but it seems to soften the sound more than anything else.

Try Proamp. You can download the free version to see iay you want to.

like it.You can customize your music any ws

If ProAmp doesn't suite your tastes ( I personally didn't like it all that much), I would recommend PlayerPro. With the DSP Pack PlayerPro sounds pretty good.

Anyone tried RockBox on it yet?

TexasRockbox 12-13-2011 05:16 PM

Yes, Rockbox works fine (but not without issues) for general music playing. The Simple EQ settings seems to work best. Plenty loud.

steinburger1109 12-13-2011 05:28 PM

Texas, you just made my day. :) SGP5.0 will be my next player! :D

TexasRockbox 12-13-2011 05:37 PM

Been using it awhile -- installed it pretty soon after getting the SGP 5.0.

Rasher's daily builds here: http://rasher.dk/rockbox/android/

A theme is needed -- the builds don't have cabbie yet.

An good cabbie-in-progress is located at the bottom of the page here: http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/...ened&sort=desc

There are also an android theme by DKFT on this forum as well.

Sideload it,...

mikee 12-13-2011 09:14 PM

Ok I got it the 800x480 version or what ever and it seems really beta ish right now you only get one screen orientation, scrolling through songs was somewhat glitchy and I had a hard time scrolling past certain sections, the only way I could find to exit the app is to task kill it.

It does however have the best sound out of any android music player I have tried so far

mattg3 12-13-2011 09:38 PM

Rockbox seems beyond my ability to put in galaxy since Im a newbie and Im sure its not in android market.Does it have better sound than poweramp?

mikee 12-13-2011 10:29 PM

just download the 800x480 apk file from the rockbox website it can be done right on the player itself and run it as if it is a program you downloaded on the computer but on your galaxy player

With my experience with rockbox on my phone, it is not stable enough to be a "daily driver" yet.

DSP Manager seems to work well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795233

Perhaps it's my fault for not being specific.

Try the 480x800 apk (portrait) then download the beta-cabbie theme linked to previously (r00007 -- at the bottom of the page -- the theme is portrait as well). The other apk really don't have any themes as such.

Screen rotation doesn't work yet.

Any feedback on ttpod music player?

mikee 12-15-2011 09:49 AM

is it free? I may check it out

mattg3 12-15-2011 10:58 AM

Yes an i just tried it out and sound seems better than stock music player, equalizer app and doubletwist.I think its a keeper

tcat 12-15-2011 11:23 AM

I just tried ttpod. Sound is good, but doesn't find album art in the album folder. Seems to only look on-line, and nothing shows up on several albums. Streaming lyrics are sometimes from wrong song (not that I care about lyrics). Sticking with Cubed for now.
