Q s on Fuze+ Voice Recording
 

I've been recording with the Fuze+ and I have the following questions:

1) Considering it has a one 'hole' mike, why does it store voice records in stereo 44100 format? Is there a way to hook up stereo mikes? If not, it should sample mono 22050 format AT MOST.

2) When I look at the Waves in an audio editor, there is a substantial amount of clipping and ringing, but the signal is well within the apparent range of amplitude (in other words, it is clipping way too soon. Is there a way to calibrate the device to get a smooth signal?
