I think my Archos is DOA?!
 

Just unboxed it and connected it to my laptop and power as well.

The green light comes on for charging, but I cannot turn it on.

Anyone else have this problem?

Keep it plugged in for at least 10 minutes then try again. Maybe the battery is just really dead.

They say 24 hrs. Mine has been charging for 48hrs, wont go past 87% with gomatic charger, and 93% with usb. With usb plugged in, it can not hold charge while running. Down to 13% charge, (with usb plugged in), after transferring about 80 gig. Hot to touch too.
I wonder if any of these Archos 48 500gb players actually work?
