As ivocado said, you need the headphones plugged...

As ivocado said, you need the headphones plugged in to listen to FM as the cord is used as the antenna.
I'm pretty sure even with headphones inserted, you cannot listen to Radio over Bluetooth.

There is no perfect player. I think iPod is the closest to "perfection", but it's still not quite right.

The KR 3.06 firmware is a UMS firmware, so all you need to do is copy the new theme UMS firmware files across to the root and restart your player a couple of times.
