thanks guys :) was more worried about AVC/MP4 as that affects Podcast compatability

odd the manual got it the wrong way round lol !

according to manual max supported resolution of AVC/MPEG4 is 320x240

yet for WMV9 its 480x270

seems crazy if the native screen res is 480 ?

actually the X is probably more compatible than my S639 - just as its native res is higher

as the max width of any video was 320 on the S639 - that was very very limiting when it came to...

but I also had others that were fine 70% of the time - but then occasionally they would be a couple of pixels too wide or something stupid and not...

how are you finding podcasts on the X in general ?

I had a S639 - and its video compatabilty with podcasts used to really wind me - used to get the odd circumstance where a podcast would be...

Pros and Cons ....

Pros

(1) good build quality, very small, and superb battery life

(2) excellent sound quality

(3) Sensme - works great - and is a genuinely useful feature

any ideas why Podcasts HAVE to be in a directory ?

directoried ones I put in work fine

but if I put any in the root of /podcasts - they don't show up :(

any ideas ? seems daft to me

Put new firmware on tonight (1.45) and now have the crackling when display off and EQ on (didn't think I had it with .43 but perhaps I did)

but with EQ OFF don't get any crackling whether screen...
