Sorry to break it to you, but I feel you on this matter. I am pretty ticked with the lag on this player. Especially loading the ENTIRE list of songs on random play takes around 12 - 14 secs to load...

You probably clicked "Apply media information changes". It doesn't automatically try to update them by itself. I have over 5000 songs and it didn't change any of the tags or settings of anything...
