It could be a faulty battery, especially if you've been using your Zen Vision: M for a long time. I would suggest a battery upgrade, but look for an OEM Battery because the 1.62 firmware doesn't work...

Well, first of all I think the best possible way to upgrade the ZVM's firmware would be on a Windows XP Machine with SP2 and Windows Media Player 10 installed. It has problems with Windows 7.

I don't think an iVue front panel for this player is possible, as it is so outdated and pretty much unpopular, what with the iPod Crowd hogging all the market and aftermarket parts and what have you....
