It does not seem like the new IPad is such a big deal. No sd card expansion, no retina display and still way too heavy to use unless sitting with it on your lap.

At 600 g that is still way too heavy to read in bed. This is still a lap holder. 7 inch tablets are going to run away with the market I bet as they can actually be used anywhere.

The tab has a better screen and of course can operate on the cellular network where the Archos cannot. Neither is likely to be upgraded to 3.0.

Unless you are keen on a cell contract I would save...

Hmm... Hopefully the OS could get the most out of the 800mghz the new motorola that is coming out has 2GHZ. I believe that the proposed Acer is the same. I do hope that Archos brings HC to gen 8.
