I imagine it would need to leave something behind on the device so that with the card out you still have "placeholders" for the app. When I remove my external_sd card, all my 'desktop shortcuts'...

I am concerned that NavFree never spoke any turn directions on my Player 5.0--nada, zip, bupkas. Google Nav voice works without any fuss, but not NavFree....

Thanks--good info for future purchases...from any company...these small gadgets can easily get around, and people like me looking for a few dollars off from a third party vendor need to be more aware.
