Try resetting your player before connecting it to the USB port but if it still doesn't work you can only try it on another pc hope that helps as that what i use to do :P

Have you tried giving it a reset? If it still doesn't work, the last try will be to format it (files will be deleted so make sure you keep a copy if you need). Hope you will get it working again!

Try resetting your player before connecting it to the PC. What OS are you using? if it still doesn't work, I would suggest you try it on another PC. hope this helps :)

I would say the crystallizer makes the music sound better now. The expand seems to work more for videos. Tried it on a few videos and it sounded pretty nice

zen looks great for its price.. but the new zen x-fi has many useful features (like the xfi, wifi, builtin speaker, in ear earphones) for just a few bucks more that would be a better bargain

It seems that the cowon d2 is using touchscreen controls... since you prefer buttons control you can consider the zen -> flash player up to 32gb it's lighter and smaller in size too pretty portable...

Sound quality is determined by your listening preferences I would say.. some may prefer richer bass while some doesn't. It also depend on the earphones you are using. It does make a difference so how.

If you need more storage space, go for the zen 32gb. As compared to the iaudio 7, it has a much bigger screen, nicer screen color (great for videos) and an expansion slot.

For a more secure fit, I would suggest you to go for in-ear earphones. The EP-630 seems like a good buy. The bass and audio is rich and clear :D There's a review for it here...
