You can get antivirus to scan the pilot by connecting the player in "File and Folder" mode. Also, if you use Norton, it keeps throwing a false positive bloodhound exploit during sync with WMP 11.

I think its a fire sale. The OEM, Joytoto is probably bringing out a newer model. That also explains the sudden vanishing of the firmware developer from these forums.
