As for 32GB's players you could look at the Cowon S9, Samsung P3 (I think), Sony X-1000....

There's your problem, the Walkmans for one reason or another don't seem to see the year when using drag 'n' drop. Just use a media player like WMP to sync and it should show up.

Not sure if there are any players that have 60GB+ and FLAC support. Closest thing I could think of would be a Cowon D2+ with a 32GB SDHC card, but that only gives you 48GB....

iirc none of the Walkmans support Flac or ogg files. As for converting them to MP3...you could try using foobar2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/download) to convert them to LAME.
