Is that a valid test? When anyone gets a player, they will tweak the settings to get the best results for them - and those settings may well vary by player. Shouldn't the question be, what's the best...

How to get video onto the X series

It seems there's a number of folks here and elsewhere who are having trouble with figuring out how to get video onto their Walkman X. I've had mine for about a week, and I've done some playing...

Did I put in a link to a banned site?

I was doing a new post, and when I previewed it, I saw that a link I had put in was asterisked out. Does this mean that it's a banned site? I was going to recommend some software there. Is there a...

You can't delete songs from the player - although you can delete podcasts. It doesn't really make sense to me.

Having now had a play around with some software, my personal choice wouldn't be ripbot (emphasise personal choice). Just as a starter, I don't understand why anyone would develop a program that uses...

How can it do that if the max resolution is 432x240? That's the quoted max, and also the resolution of the demo vids on the player. Does it play the higher resolutions but downsize?

Maybe they have a different approach in the UK. Either way, I thought what's the point of having a branded store if you can't play with the toys?

Virtual dub gives you control

EDIT NOTE: You can only save files in virtualdub as AVI, which I think the X can't (sadly) play. However, some folks might still find virtuldub useful for other purposes, so I've left the post here....

Just thought I'd share this. All of the capital letter 'R' have fallen out of my zen x-fi. This applies both to e.g. menu items, and song titles. I have searched all over the house, and can't find...

I went to the Sony centre in the UK with my SE530s to listen to the X

The Zune HD is out next week. I'll wait to see what the reports of SQ are like, and if it's OK I could get one sent over from the US. Shame the HD radio won't work in the UK.
