the problem is just because of the the file-extension, rename your mkv-file to filename.avi and kissenc will recognize and convert it.

there are two different "versions" of the player, one with msc-firmware, this one is recognized as mass storage device (like an usb-stick for example) and it works with almost every operating system...

i don't really understand what you're actually trying to say, but as far as i know fw 1.34 is only available for mtp-devices at the moment, maybe your player is msc/ums and that's why it doesn't work?

Who says Samsung disabled FLAC in MTP-Versions of the Q1? That's definitely not true... And there's no risk at all, with tcctool/fwdn you can always use the buit-in TC-Chip for firmware recovery...
