I live in Japan, and my 1st-gen Zune and Zune software works just fine. However, I don't use many of the features, such as the marketplace, so I can't tell you whether or how well that works.

I wouldn't even consider buying another ZVM unless the interface were redesigned and the sync adapter eliminated.:mad:

Apart from that, I'd buy another 30GB unit. I don't need the extra headroom.
