Last time I used to have an Acer with Windows 7 Ultimate. I was able to import videos to my Zen pretty easily. All I need to do is open My computer, drag and drop the file I want to put in (whether it's .flv or .mkv) directly into Zen's Video folder. And there, there will be an pop-out window asking whether I want to copy with or without converting the file. If I choose yes, the windows(Convert and Copy) will automatically convert the file into Zen's format, which is .wmv and they do that pretty fast.
Now I'm having a Lenovo with a Wins 7 Home Premium. The problem is, I cannot convert directly in My Computer anymore. Anyone can explain this? Could it be the different Wins 7 editions? Thanks, |

I had the same problem after formatting, finally found a way to have this back.
For Windows Seven 64bit : You should need the 64bit codecs. (klite have them) Install the 32bit codecs too, they may be useful. reboot. And if it finally still isn't working install the Creative driver package. This will give the Creative Video converter, it's nice and simple, and permit to crop videos but doesn't immediately copy the video to the player. Now i'm onto another problem : How to crop the video with "convert and copy" instead of resizing it to fit the 4:3 ratio of my Zen. Last edited by hide; 09-21-2010 at 02:49 PM. |
