H340 bass clipping

Has anyone tested the output impedance of this player?

Stock 1.31 Korean firmware. The bass clips significantly with 32 ohm IEMs.

Problem not present on 70 ohm headphones.

Those IEMs are verified to be working fine.

No sound effects turned on.

Rockbox makes it subjectively worse.

Well I have zero intentions to put this thing back into active service. Maybe I can fix it up and sell it locally for a small sum. You know, instead of throwing it out.

I do, IMO it's one of the best players that ever came out. Not only does it sound pretty good but it can also be fully modded. Mine is "retired" but I might bring it back to life with a battery replacement.

Yes, to me it sounds fantastic when it's rockboxed. Pretty loud also, but not so loud that it can damage your eardrums.
