X5 "officially" discontinued

I am interested in purchasing the Cowon iAudio X5L (30GB). Right now it seems that they are out of stock. Will you be getting more in? If so, when?

It was discontinued and will not be back on the market.

Will there be a replacement for this player in the near future? Right now there is not really anything comparative in the Cowon family.

Will there be any open box/refurbs of the X5L anytime soon?

There are no officai plans for a replacement of the X5. Closest thing to the X5 internal HDD player is the A2 and the A3 that will be available in late Sept to early October.

there you have it folks...I just found out about the X5 and now I can't buy it anywhere...

They still have X5's on http://www.mp3-player.de/ and http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/ (both in the EU) - I'm sure you can find one someplace else (amazon.com, maybe). Only the most popular model, the X5L 30GB, seems to be sold out everywhere.

Ok this sucks. It was hard enough to have it sent from the US to my country, now I have to find a way to ship it all the way from Europe. For some reason, I have trouble ordering from Europe, I keep getting denied.

Question, how are the other cowon players in terms of audio quality? Are they the same or is the X5 the best?
