V+ only boots when on USB

If I turn the thing on normally it hangs at the Creative splash screen but if I plug it in via usb until it shows docked and then unplug it, all is fine.

On the whole the device has left me a bit cold to be honest

Tried recovery mode: no good
Tried recovery tool, starts with player detected, next step says player not connected.
Formatted, no good

Now looking for hammer

I think I found this on the Creative board....somebody's elses tip.
I try and collect these. Maybe it will reset yours.



"If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
