X5L battery dying...any cheap way of replacing it?

Hi everyone - I just found anythingbutipod today and loves it. I too have a X5L, I've had it for about 2 years now and recently, even if I charge the battery to full, the player has been lasting only about 4-5 hours. I know the battery will soon die on me, does anyone have experience of replacing the battery?

only thing I could find was this thread below, but I have read on the net that it can be done for around $49.00, have you tried cowon?

Thanks Ray! I will contact Cowon, and if it costs more than $50: I'll either wait for the speculated X7 or buy another player

I'm in your same exact position with my X5L being 2 years old and the battery fading.
I was quoted $55 including shipping back from Cowon to replace the batteries (the X5L has two), so mines on the way.
