Hello Community,

Thanks in advance, seb

I guess not, although the gaps between tracks are usually negligible on Creative players (Zen Micro, Zen Vision:M and Zen V Plus, for example).

From what I've read over at Epizenter, it does not. As with most of Creative's players, the gap is very small, sometimes not even noticeable.
According to Sandisk's website, the Sansa View has gapless. I'm not a fan of the Sandisk players but the View might be the only player in this price range to feature gapless playback. It also has a comparable feature set. Though the screen will no doubt be sub par.

I've read about the Sansa View, but I don't think it will be available within the next two weeks. I will be in the US from tomorrow till the end of October and a new play shall be the gift which I bring back to Europe for myself

I really don't want to admit it but the iPod Nano at least features gapless playback in this price range. (which doesn't change the fact that the owners can get no radio and are forced to use iTunes).
As far as I understand it's iTunes that enables the iPods to play gapless - is it really that hard to build players with native gapless playback?
Some of those with OGG can and the Trekstor Vibe (afaik). But why does the majority of players (including mobile phones like those music centered devices from Sony Ericsson) still lack the ability.

Actually, we can't be that sure. SanDisk didn't say anything about the colour depth of the View. I would wait to see which colour depth the View has...

ive been listening to some cds without gaps, and there is just a barely audible glitch between tracks, so i would say yes, it does support gapless tracks, unless youre an absolute freak about it and demand perfection.

Sorry to disagree, but it can't be considered gapless. I agree that the gaps between tracks are usually very small and negligible for most people (including me), but they're still there if one pays attention. On the other hand, with a truly gapless player (like the Trekstor Vibez or older Rio Audio players), the person won't notice the change between tracks: it will be a continuous listening experience.
