Hi, I'm seriously considering getting the Pilot, but the only remaining fact I'm trying to find out is if the Overdrive audiobooks that I can get from the library will also work on the Pilot. The Pilot isn't listed on the Overdrive website as a compatible player and I don't personally know anyone who has one to ask. I believe the files are WMA and DRM-protected (but you get a license downloaded).
Any help gratefully appreciated -- thx, Kate J. |

The Pilot supports four versions of wma including secure wma (which Overdrive uses). All you'll need to do is download and install the Overdrive software and use Windows Media Player. As long as you regularly use Windows update, you shouldn't have a problem.

I use my Insignia Pilot extensively for Overdrive audio books from my library (www.cpl.org). They work perfectly

Thank you to both of you and many apologies for not replying sooner - I've been swamped with software releases at work. I really appreciate knowing that the Overdrive files will work - they are saving me sometimes as I'm writing endless requirement documents at work!
