Has anyone gotten the Pilot to sync with the newest version of iTunes for Mac OSX? Yeah, yeah... I know some of you have a strong dislike of iTunes.
Here's my situation: My old desktop Win2k PC bit the dust a couple days before Christmas. Until I can get it going again (probably with Ubuntu Linux this time ) I'm in MacBook-only mode.I hadn't bothered to install iTunes on my PC -- it doesn't have speakers and I was using it primarily for file storage, network printing, and quick email checking. I only recently got around to copying my music to the MacBook and importing it into iTunes. I'd been doing all my file transfers by drag-n-drop. Anyway, while my MacBook recognizes the Pilot (shows up as a drive in Finder, etc.) no icon shows up in iTunes. I have the Pilot set to MSC (aka File and Folder) mode. (Actually it was set to Automatic and I hosed it up quite nicely the first time I plugged in the USB after setting it to File and Folder.) Thoughts? Questions? Insights? Ideas? Revelations? Solutions? As always, I'll be grateful for some help. |
