Hello to all. Just wanted to post some info. I recently purchased a new Zen Vision:M 30gb through my place of employment. It only had the USB cable with it, so I purchased the dock. The unit would not charge. It would power on and showed docked on the screen but shut off when disconnected. I had previously read the sticky about charging and the firmware bug in version 1.40. That bug also apparently exists in firmware version 1.11 as that was what was on the player. So, I updated the firmware to the latest and all is well, but it looks like it will still need a battery because 1) It sat in the warehouse for who knows how long and 2) It is showing just about a full charge in 10 - 15 minutes time. Oh well, I only paid 10 bucks for it, so I think a 21 dollar battery will be ok
