I noticed that sometimes if the album art is too large in resolution, it doesn't display.

thanks zenchick i used to have a ZVM but sadley the screen cracked somehow and only half of it worked. anyways ill try some of that stuff but i cant get WMP11 because my computer wont let me update to XPSP2 and im pretty sure you need that for WMP11. And i noticed that when you hit the browse media button in the ZVM explorer andn browsed by album there was a little spot where you could put album art... do you know if this is true for the Zen? Thanks

Hey there,
i'm not sure, but i think I read somewhere that it's possible to search for songs / albums within a cover gallery with the Creative Zen... (similar to the iPod Touch). Can anyone confirm this and how would this look like? Like thumbnails of the pictures in a Digicam dispaly where you can pick one..? Appreciate any further information on this ... ![]() I've had a hard time deciding between the Creative Zen & the Clix2, but the Zen with 16GB seems to be the winner for me, in case there's this option. Regards, Michel ...and a happy new year

I'm not sure about the Zen, but if it works anything like the ZVM, you can browse by cover by navigating to the Album listing, pressing the Options button, and selecting "Change View".

The same applies to Zen, you select "Change View" and you'll get Album Art view.

what you can do is copy all you music to a PC and then assign the artist name and album title by selecting all the files of the same artist and album and changing the tag for all of them by right clicking on any one file and the changing the titles there..
easy and less time consuming.. |

Hey guys. I have my whole library tagged with 200x200 album art for my Zen. The majority of my library is (unprotected) .m4a's that show up fine on my new Zen. But I also have a couple of .mp3's that also have the album art saved in their tags but do not show up on my Zen. Is there anything I need to do to get them to show up?
They were all tagged in Winamp and have added album art through iTunes. |

Try adding Album Art with Zen Media Explorer, it's the most reliable way.

How would I do this though? I'm not a big fan of Creative's software.
Or, alternatively, is there another way to do this w/o Media Explorer? |

FallenRiff, what version of Windows are you running?
I would suggest using WMP11 if you have it. But I have heard that MediaMonkey works well also. But I agree - The Creative software is only sufficient for getting someone started right out of the box, but is next to worthless otherwise.

I'm running XP, I guess I could give WMP a shot, never liked it much, but I haven't used it in a while anyways.
I actually have MediaMonkey. It worked well at first but I had recopying problems when syncing and some albums just wouldn't sync at all. |

I am pulling the itunes folders with the Zen Media Explorer (add iTunes media).....some albums have art, some do not. Yet everything in iTunes shows the art.....
Ideas? |

Yes, iTunes works very much like WMP11 in that regard: It has its own database where the album art is stored. It doesn't necessarily mean the art is tagged into your music files, however.

Well, with Media Explorer it's just a matter of drag and drop an album art on album. If you can see this in Media Explorer I'm sure you will see it on ZEN. It has never failed me. Additionally I think it's useless to drop album arts larger than 200x200, the largest view you'll get on ZEN is 3/4 of the height of the display and that's around 180px.

Well, I may try out WMP11, was playing around with it, it's not so bad....

One nice thing about WMP11 - particularly if you are running Windows Vista, is you can drag a picture straight off the internet onto the album art placeholder in WMP. You don't even have to save the image somewhere first!
