Transfering files from one Vision M to a second Vision M

Is there an easy way to transfer music and pics from one Vision M to a second one for my wife?

The easiest way is to use a sync manager that can recognize and work with multiple devices. WMP11 will allow manage multiple ZVMs as long as each one has a unique name. It will sync both your players to the same PC-based library.
