Default Out of sync?

I am having problems with movies not having the audio synced correctly. The files I have converted work fine on any computer, synced perfectly. Put them on a memory card or directly onto the Zen and after 10 minutes or so the audio becomes out of sync.

Not a problem on small clips, say under 15 minutes, just movies. Tried the .avi and .wmv same result. Out of sync. Seems to get worse after you fast forward of rewind.

Does anyone have movies that are in sync throughout? Thanks.

Just got my 4 gig and I used pocketdivxencoder to encode a 1.5 hr movie with the image quality and the sound cranked all the way up. Played perfectly running off the SD card.

Are you sure you encoded it at the right frames per second? This could be a possible cause of your audio being out of sync.

Well I have to do a few more tests to confirm, but it seems like when converting a movie on my hard drive that has 5.1 sound, the sync problem occurs, yet when I convert a movie with 2.0 sound, the sync is fine. Strange.

Can you try GSpot and put some info here about files that get out of sync? Especially framerates and bitrates.

Yes, input has same.

I am just going to rip some more using the stereo 2.0 sound and see if that keeps curing it.

If it doesn't try to convert the framerate to 25.
