Can we have an option that will allow us to enable auto play when the player turns on?

What happens is, I leave my player in my car, it shuts off after being paused for 5 minutes. Then when I come back to my car, I want to just turn on the player and let it start playing right of way

Support for FLAC. That would be extra hot. I hate transcoding just for the Pilot.

This happens when the player gets overloaded, for examplo you move the click wheel fast but the menu does n ot move at the same speed that you are moving the click wheel.

I haven't experienced that before. So far, the GUI has been very responsive for me. Sounds like something might be physically wrong with yours.

This is a weird bug... I was listening to a song, then clicked next, and bam it shut off! Started it back up, it started playing from a different place but still working...

Kinda weird but still works.

Ah fine, I really wish to see some changes, just a few of those things have been bugging me about this player...

The biggest one right now is the Rebuilding the Database every single time... I would buy a 16gb card and put all my music on it in a heart beat, but I just don't want to have 20+ second start ups

i would just like to second this request - a considerable amount of my collection is FLAC, and while it *is* easy enough to set Amarok up to just transcode FLAC stuff to a high-quality ogg/vorbis, it's still not as good as if the Pilot would actually play the full quality FLAC files

**Bluetooth audio recording**

Since most headsets have a small mic for phone support, why not use it for recording as well? It seems like this would be a firmware and not a hardware issue since i assume a bluetooth module can support other profiles by simply adding software compatibility. (correct me if i'm mistaken.)

It seems like this would be a software issue too. Why not let multiple sets of headphones connect at the same time so that people can all listen to the same thing.

My Pilot 4GB shows either "unknown" or garbage data for artists, albums, etc. I'm running Linux (Ubuntu). Most of my Ogg Vorbis files were created using KAudioCreator and edited with EasyTAG. If I convert my Ogg files to MP3s (via soundkonverter, using LAME), the tags seem to be read correctly.

Have you played with the charger options in the settings? I looks like if you have it connected to a charger that powers on and off with the car it will auto pause and play as the power is removed and added. It's worth looking into.
