Another 'My Creative ZENM won't charge' thread

So as I said in a previous post I recently bought one of these to replace my zen touch.

One problem....I can't get it to charge.

When I took it out of the package I hooked it up to my brothers charger (he got it from ebay and it plugs straight into the bottom, no dongle). 8 hours later, nothing. When I turn it on it says it is just connected to the mains (the mains symbol comes up).

I've just plugged it in using the USB power charger, but again it doesn't seem to be charging.

Any advice or help would be much apprciated. Has anyone had similar problems?

depends on how much power your power chargers putting into your zen .. it might take awhile to charge just leave it plugged in over night and check it out

Does it charge using the dongle that came with it? What's the firmware version?

How does it behave when you plug in the charger? Does the blue LED on top flash? Does it simply turn on, ready to use, but not charge?
From hanging around here, I've heard that attempting to charge sans dongle/sync adapter is a NO NO.
