us firmware and korean firmware

Can someone please tell me the difference in the US firmware and korean firmware? I just recently bought a T10 and I checked many of the threads already but I'm still a little confused.

The US firmware is only up to 2.00 version, but the latest Korean firmware version is 3.00 which has new useful features.

US Firmware is MTP, Korean firmware is MSC (UMS) that is basically the only difference (apart from the korean firmware having lyrics support).
Not sure whether it is related to the language version of the firmware or the transfer protocol itself: the "id3" tags of ogg-files are not supported in MTP mode, but work fine in UMS mode.

Not sure whether the US version has RDS support like the european version has (Korean firmware lacks RDS support).

Apart from that, there's no difference.

korean firmware is not yet at 3.00. There is a 3.0beta available, that's all. That version adds support for games and has other little improvements (but that's not a difference between US and korean, but just between different versions of the firmware)

If you're using DRM protected stuff and are fine with using MTP, there's absolutely no reason to switch to korean firmware. But if you want UMS/MSC transfer mode (you cannot use DRM then), or the latest firmware before everybody else has it, then the korean version is the only choice.

Whats "beta"? Does this mean that a better kr 3.00 is coming?

The current 3.00 KR firmware is just a beta, ie a test version, so yes, there should be a better version of it coming out.

You can download them all but you can have only one GUI at a time on the t10.

I saved all the new GUI's so im just gonna change when i feel like it

Does anyone know how to view lyrics on the T10 with the new 3rd Wave firmware?

Download Samsung Lyrics station (I can't find it)
Just plug your T10 in then it will search for the lyrics of the song you choose.
(It's about 80% reliable for me, and it won't work on VBR files)
